Pulsed fibre amplifier with integrated detection for wind lidar

A compact, pulsed 1550 nm fibre amplifier with an integrated coherent detection system was developed at the University of Oldenburg. This allowed wind measurements up to 1,5 km with an averaging time of only 0,1 s.
